I'm comfortably posting from the couch today. Quinn woke up with the cold that Sydney had last week so no gym time for me today:-( Bummer too since the fall schedule of classes started this week and I was planning on spending two hours each day there!
Well, after I got myself all psyched up to work a lot of hours, turns out I may not be able to after all! I guess they aren't as desperate as I thought. I'm a little relieved, I must say! I've worked too hard to get the awesome shifts I have in membership so why mess with that now? I have picked up a few shifts so will still try to work 6 days/week. I just won't be staying until 11 every night like I thought I would be.
Actually, I've been thinking about going full time across the street at the corp. office. I have to think about it some more over this school year, but I think once we move, I may look into it more. I wanted to wait so that I could spend more time w/the girls but the time we spend together now isn't real quality time. They watch TV while I run around the house like a mad woman. I'm thinking it would be nice to spend evenings and weekends with them again. Plus, K.C. and I could each get a little break and some time to ourselves if we worked the same schedule (when one has the kids, the other doesn't have to go to work to get their 'me' time). Plus, we can do more things together as a family - which is what we still consider ourselves even if we aren't together as a couple.
So many things to consider! I'm just going to see what falls into place.

Treadmill Blogging
In an effort to make better use of my time, I am posting today while walking on the treadmill at the gym. I hope I don't get hurt!
Let's see, so many things I've been meaning to post about but just never got around to it. Guess I'll start with the most current stuff and throw in the older stuff as I remember.
There is an opportunity for me to pick up extra hours at work. I've been racking my brain before this, trying to figure out a way I could work more while not missing out on the time I have with the girls and not working late into the night. Living this far away from work, it just isn't possible. So, I'm going to bite the bullet and pick up some extra time by working until 11:00 again. That means close to 38 hours/wk. It'll probably only last until the first of the year though so I'd better take advantage of it while I can! Hopefully next school year we'll be closer to work so that I can work while the girls are in school.
I had a reassessment at my last acupuncture appointment. Overall, things are improving.I am happy to report no painful PMS symptoms this cycle. In fact, I've had NO symptoms at all! We'll see how the actual period goes. Of course, this has been the nature of the beast for me - one easy cycle followed by one difficult cycle. The next cycle will be the real test! We did some muscle testing for food allergies. We'll do more specific food testing today but in general, I show a sensitivity to anything w/B vitamins (pretty much all of the veggies I eat!), citrus, peanuts, chocolate, glucose (which I guess we make when we eat) and I don't know what else! So, each session we'll work on desensitizing me to all that I'm sensitive to and that should help me get energy from my food instead of wanting to curl up for a nap! Oh how heavenly that will be!!
Saturday I started getting a headache at work that progressively got worse. I took some aspirin but it didn't help. On the way home my stomach started feeling weird - kind of sick, kind of in pain. K.C. got me some 7-Up and soda crackers, which the girls so thoughtfully fed to me:-) The pains got worse as the night went on and probably for the first time ever I took some Pepto out of shear desperation! I had made/ate Chili and kept burping it up so thought maybe I had indigestion. I've never felt this before so I was a little concerned. At one point I considered getting everyone up so they could take me to the hospital! But, the pain wasn't steady - it would come and go but stay for a bit when it came. Almost like contractions. It finally went away and stayed away so I went to bed. The next day (yesterday) I noticed a little rash on my torso and on one spot of one of my arms. It didn't itch or hurt and I didn't feel like I was running a fever so I ignored it. When I was getting ready for bed that night, the rash was all over! This morning it seems to be pretty much gone. I'm just chalking it up to my body fighting off something or maybe even, dare I say it? Healing itself!
Well, I'm super sweaty and only have about 20 min left for my workout so I'll sign off now and catch up on FB!
