December Celebrations

We celebrated the December Birthdays and Anniversaries last night. It's been a little crazy around here so the girls and I opted to pick up a cake instead of make one. We just didn't know it was going to be so physically challenging picking up that cake:)

After a fine celebratory dinner of Papa Murphy's pizza (gourmet veggie for me, stuffed Chicago style for K.C. and Sydney, Quinn had a little of both and kept asking "What's this? I don't like it!") we broke into this fabulously sinful masterpiece of a cake. We felt, since you all kind of get jipped having your birthday in the same month as Christmas, that you deserved a little something extra special. So, here it is: 7 - yes, S-E-V-E-N, pounds of delicious chocolate goodness. Chocolate cake layers kissed with chocolate frosting inside and hugged by the same frosting on the outside. But that's not all. For the extra special part, it's showered with shaved chocolate all around the sides. That's just pure heaven right there! Nothing but the best for our December peeps!

Here is who we are honoring this month:

Our friend Lori

Quinn's friend Avery

Our nephew Eddie

Our cousin Rudy

Our friend Joel

Quinn's Friend Eva

And a special nod goes to Grandma Martens as we remember Grandpa Martens and their anniversary.

That's a whole lotta cake! But nothing we can't handle!

Okay, so maybe we'll freeze some of it!

Princess Quinn made it an extra special celebration by donning both a tiara AND a party hat!

Sydney really got into eating!

We hope you all have a great year!
